I’ve had a chance to put the latest build of Windows 7, Build 7022 through its paces. I was able to get it to install and run in virtualisation on my MacBook Pro and on an Asus N10J Netbook (Atom N270, 2GB RAM, 9300M GS 256MB).
Nothing much to see here. Still unable to mount ISO’s. Below are some screenshots I’ve taken in case I’ve missed anything. If you notice any differences in comparison to Build 7000, leave a comment below:

Has anything been done to take advantage of the dual/quad core capabilities. Vista just sucked RAM, crap boot up times and even worse shut-down. I hear the RAM needed is just 1gb officially so 2GB might even work whereas most MS staff I spoke to told me Vista with 2GB was the minimum. Is Windows7 64bit as otherwise no use upgrading beyond 3GB.
Whats the opinion on the loosening of the security warnings, will the only winners be the Virus/Rootkit developers?
I see no included Apps like MAIL – have to download it with the Live service. Does that mean there is no offline client from MS for Win7 ?
Interesting to see what Snow Leopard brings if all the improvements there are under the skin and punters don’t see what they are paying to upgrade to (then again- Leopard only really gave you time machine and a working spotlight)
@Stephen: Windows 7 is a drastic improvement when it comes to performance on both single and dual core systems and when being virtualised. The performance improvements are especially noticeable on older systems. I tested it on an Athlon 64 2800+ 1.8GHz processor with 1GB RAM and the experience was much smoother.
Windows Live Mail is a download option, but no doubt some manufacturers like Dell already have agreements in place to bundle Windows Live with their systems. But in essence, no offline Mail client ships with 7.
